A sport is an organized, competitive, entertaining, and skillful physical activity requiring commitment and fair play, in which a winner can be defined by objective means. It is governed by a set of rules or customs. In a sport the key factors are the physical capabilities and skills of the competitor when determining the outcome (winning or losing). The physical activity involves the movement of people, animals and/or a variety of objects such as balls and machines or equipmentPhysical events such as scoring goals or crossing a line first often define the result of a sport. However, the degree of skill and performance in some sports such as diving, dressage and figure skating is judged according to well-defined criteria. This is in contrast with other judged activities such as beauty pageants and body building, where skill does not have to be shown and the criteria are not as well defined.
In sports, football is one popular one.The game of football is any of several similar team sports, of similar origins which involve, to varying degrees, kicking a ball with the foot in an attempt to score a goal. The most popular of these sports worldwide is association football, more commonly known as just "football" or "soccer". Unqualified, the word football applies to whichever form of football is the most popular in each particular part of the world, including American football, Australian rules football, Canadian football, Gaelic football, rugby league, rugby union and other related games.
By the name football, almost everyone in the world is familiar with it. Everybody knows how to play football. Football can be defined in many ways, and has been defined as well:
1> Football, any of a number of games in which two opposing teams attempt to score points by moving an inflated oval or round ball past a goal line or into a goal.
2>A game played by two teams of 11 players each on a rectangular, 100-yard-long field with goal lines and goal posts at either end, the object being to gain possession of the ball and advance it in running or passing plays across the opponent's goal line or kick it through the air between the opponent's goal posts.

Traditional football games had virtually no rules, no limit on the number of players, and goals, if they existed at all, could be a mile or more apart. In most cases, the opposing ‘sides’ were drawn from different parts of the town or from different trades. In London, and other big cities, it was specifically a game of the apprentices. Throughout its known history there have been repeated attempts to abolish or modify the custom, and most of the earliest references are concerned with trying to suppress what must have been an already well-established tradition.
The origin of the game remains obscure. No one knows the origin of the football. majority of  Players from various parts of the country explained that the game started when locals were kicking around the severed head of a Dane (or other invader).
Football has its own rules which needed to be followed:
  • Teams of usually between 11 and 18 players; some variations that have fewer players (five or more per team) are also popular.
  • A clearly defined area in which to play the game.
  • Score goal by moving the ball to an opposing team's end of the field and either into a goal area, or over a line.
  • Goals or points resulting from players putting the ball between two post.
  • The goal or line being defended by the opposing team.
  • Players being required to move the ball by kicking only.
  • Players using only their body to move the ball.
In most codes, there are rules restricting the movement of offside players, and players scoring a goal must put the ball either under or over the croossbar between the goalposts. Other features common to several football codes include: points being mostly scored by players carrying the ball across the goal line; and players receiving a freekick after they take free cath.

Football Jerseys became the latest fashion wear for men in the mid 90's. Thousands of NFL football fans across the country would show their support by donning the number of their favorite player. Even business men began sporting jerseys on the weekends. It was a bond that fathers and sons had together. They would get dressed to go to the game and wear their favorite jerseys with their sons. This popular football gear soon became the weekend wear of sport lovers. Men of all shapes and sizes would boast their team colors while cutting the yard, doing chores and running errands.
